Worship
"Give unto the Lord the glory due to His name;
Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness." Psalm 29:2
Worship is more than just the music used in church. It is an encounter with a holy and loving God - our response to His revelation. Like His people, our worship is diverse. Sometimes, we respond to Him by singing passionate praise along with the band. Sometimes, we worship through a timeless hymn of faith. Weekly, we respond to Him in prayer and by digging into His Word. Our goal is to offer to Him the worship that He deserves and desires, worship that leaves us transformed and closer to Him than ever.
Ways to Serve:
Our Music plays a large role in our worship gatherings, and we are always eager for others to join with us in our praise!
Adult Choir
Lifting up songs to the Lord each week, this group is open to anyone who loves the Lord and who is eager to sing His praise. This group meets on Sunday mornings at 8:30 AM in the Choir Room (bottom floor below the Sanctuary).
Praise Band
This selected ensemble anchors the music for all our gatherings. This group rehearses on Sunday mornings at 9:30 AM in the Peachtree Room. Contact Eddie Card at ECard@wieuca.org for information on how to participate.
Worship Technology
Not all worship leaders play an instrument and stand up front. Each week, we depend on the dedicated and selfless service of several volunteers helping to run our worship technology (audio, presentation, and live streaming). Please contact Pam Jernigan at PJernigan@wieuca.org for more information.
Speakers/Readers
The reading of God's Word plays an important role in all our gatherings, and we are always looking for well-spoken and faithful individuals who are willing to serve occasionally by reading a scripture passage in a service. Please contact Pam Jernigan at PJernigan@wieuca.org for more information.
