DELAYED OPENING – On Sunday, February 1, we will only open for 11 AM worship and 5 PM Family Connections. Bible Study and Community Groups will NOT meet.
At Wieuca, we believe God calls us to give not just individually, but as a family of faith. Throughout the next few months, we invite you to join us in celebrating the ways God is working through our church to bless and uplift our community.
Together we give. Together we join God’s work around us.
All we have belongs to God; we give back to Him with grateful hearts, trusting His work through our church.
After joining Wieuca in 1974, Ginny and I quickly found a church marked by deep love, warm hospitality, and a strong commitment to sharing the good news of Jesus Christ. Through Sunday School, fellowship, mission projects, and friendships that welcomed others in, we experienced a faith community that truly lived out its mission. Our children were nurtured here from infancy through high school, learning to serve through mission trips and growing in their faith. Today, as members of the Arimathea class, we continue to see Wieuca extend prayer, care, and welcome to all. While the campus may change, the heart of this church remains the same, loving one another and sharing God’s love. We are grateful for the many ways Wieuca has blessed our family and are committed to supporting its mission for years to come.

After moving to Buckhead in 2002, my children and I found our church home at Wieuca. From our first warm welcome to joining Sunday School and the choir, we quickly felt a deep sense of belonging. My children grew through choir, missions, Camp Wieuca, and later returned as staff, discovering a love for serving others. Through every season, Wieuca has provided strength, prayer, and constant support. In 2024, my daughter was married in the Wieuca sanctuary by her former youth pastor, a milestone our family will always cherish. Serving as a Deacon and in many leadership roles has been a true blessing. Wieuca is a church that embraces all with kindness, warmth, and open arms. I am forever grateful for this faith family and the impact it has had on my life.

The Church of Wieuca welcomed my family with genuine care from the moment we arrived in the United States. This community became our home, offering support, friendship, and guidance as we adjusted to a new life. Leaders and members walked with me through school transitions, youth ministry, mission trips, and my spiritual journey. Their kindness shaped my faith and led me to baptism. I am grateful for a church family whose prayers and steady support have made a lasting difference in our lives.

Our original decision to join and support Wieuca was made because Wieuca was the kind of church we wanted. It was known as a progressive church, committed to missions, and offering a great worship service. It leaned toward the position of Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. In recent years we have appreciated the position of Wieuca as a diverse and inclusive church. We have members from several different countries. We gladly count as friends those who come from diverse racial, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds. God has given Wieuca a ministry of diversity and inclusion. Wieuca gives the ministry of acceptance and love to all who desire to come here. This drives us to continue to support this community of faith.

After joining Wieuca with my family in the 1960s, I was baptized in the chapel when it served as our only sanctuary under the leadership of Dr. J.T. Ford. My parents modeled faithful service, contributing their time, talents, and leadership, including my father’s architectural work on several building expansions and the iconic steeple. Over the years, Harry and I have been blessed to deepen our connection to this church family. Harry joined after attending a New Year’s Eve service with me in 1973, and we were married at Wieuca in 1975. Through seasons of change, including a difficult church split nearly 20 years ago, we felt called to serve more actively through leadership, committee work, missions, and hands-on projects that support the life of the church. Along the way, we have been sustained by the friendships, prayers, and care of our Sunday School community, especially during times of personal loss and illness. Grateful for all Wieuca has meant to our family, we remain committed to supporting its ministry through our time, gifts, and legacy, trusting that this beloved church will continue helping future generations grow in faith in Jesus Christ.
