Learning and Growing in an Innovative, Supportive, Loving, and Safe environment provides the perfect foundation for your child’s success. That is what we do here. Serving children from six weeks old to Pre-Kindergarten, we offer both a full-day and half-day childcare program. We also provide a private Kindergarten program to prepare children for grade school. The Day School is a Christ-centered, early childhood program designed to minister to the total child. We are passionate about serving children, and our activities and curriculum encourage each child to grow in all areas of development. Our school goes above and beyond to achieve the highest level of excellence and is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).

Philosophy & Curriculum

Our philosophy and curriculum encompass the following ideals.

  • Young children learn best when the opportunity to learn is provided in a supportive, relaxed atmosphere where individuality is encouraged.
  • Learning takes place best when learning experiences are relevant to the child’s everyday life and environment.
  • The work of children is play.
  • It is important for children to develop personal and social values, to exercise reason and to develop the ability to choose and make decisions.
  • Children should be encouraged to develop positive self-concepts and a growing awareness and understanding of all cultures.
  • Children need a physical development program designed to encourage physical fitness, coordination, cooperation, still development, and sound nutritional practices.
  • The development of children requires open communication between parent and teacher. Our “Open Door” policy along with parent/teacher conferences and parent participation help develop this.
  • School and home must work together for the common interest and well- being of the child.
  • Children learn love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control through the examples that are set for them.

To encourage well-rounded growth, children two and older attend Chapel and Spanish once a week.  In addition, children have the opportunity to participate in extra-curricular activities depending on their age.

We maintain low teacher/child ratios to ensure that every child is receiving the care and instruction they need in order to thrive. Our teacher to child ratio for each age group is listed below.

Two's - 1 (adult) : 6 (children)

Kindergarten Program

Our Private Kindergarten program prepares young minds academically, socially, and spiritually for grade school. Our Kindergarten program provides children with a learning experience filled with interactive experiments, challenging material, and lots of fun.

The Day School wants to cultivate your child’s independence, creativity, and self-confidence. Our Kindergarten curriculum focuses on language and literacy, math, science, creative arts, social studies, physical education, and technology. Parents can appreciate that our program is taught by an experienced, degreed teacher who is caring and kind. The classroom is small in size, which provides the children with individualized attention that fosters the development of your child’s academic skills.

We enjoy partnering with parents to develop a personalized approach to meeting each child’s needs. Communication is a main component of creating that partnership. Parents are able to communicate with the kindergarten teacher regularly! Assessments are completed during the school year to show the skills that your child has enhanced or developed during the year. Parent-teacher conferences are also provided as a formal discussion regarding your child’s academic progress.

Wieuca understands that when your Kindergartener leaves our doors the “Big” world awaits them! We work to prepare them to be critical thinkers that are spiritually equipped, socially adept, and academically prepared for the next phases of their lives!

The registration fee is $200 and all incoming students must complete an assessment before registering. Contact us for more information.

STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) education is introduced to each child to spark their interest in these subjects. As progressive learning, we want to excite our children about math and science, which provides a foundation for them as they enter elementary school. Learning STEAM is like learning a language: Children need to be immersed in STEAM learning opportunities to become fluent. STEAM helps children learn how to analyze information and solve.
