WEATHER UPDATE: Due to freezing temperatures, our campus is closed on Wednesday, January 22. This includes the After School and Day School programs.
Grade schoolers will enjoy games, crafts, music, and Bible stories led by a dedicated team of volunteers whose greatest joy is to teach your children about God and His love. Children will discover God’s truth in His word, the Bible. Kids will have the opportunity to learn a story and apply these truths to their life using Lifeway’s Bible Studies for Life curriculum.
Kindergarten – 5th grade meet in Room S-103. This room is located on the bottom floor of the Sanctuary Building. Follow signs for the Church Office and room S-103 is directly across from Angie’s office (down the hall from the Heritage Room).
All parents with children are invited to park around the loop road behind the steeple. Here you will find designated parking spots near the East Wing.
Wieuca’s priority is the safety and security of our children. For each event, we have a check-in desk for parents to register their children as present for their appropriate class in KidsTown. Parents will sign their children in or out of the classroom roll, and alert workers to any allergies.
Angie Durden joined the Church at Wieuca staff in September 2015, bringing a deep passion for ministering to children and families. As she served, she recognized a growing need to connect with the women of the church and community—leading her to launch and lead Blooming at Wieuca, a vibrant Ladies’ Ministry team. A Texas native, Angie is a proud graduate of Texas Tech University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. She has served in preschool, children’s, and women’s ministry roles across Georgia, Virginia, Oklahoma, and Texas.
Angie is dedicated to creating a joyful, nurturing environment where children learn about Jesus through play, games, art, and visual storytelling. Her goal is to partner with parents in living out Psalm 78:4. Each KidsTown experience helps children discover God’s love, understand His truth, and apply Scripture to daily life, knowing the Creator of the universe made them and loves them deeply.
Angie and her husband, Glenn, have two children: West, currently attending seminary, and Jewels, a family studies major at Georgia Southern. In her free time, Angie enjoys being with her family, walking their dog Macy, and exploring antique shops. Her favorite verse is Jeremiah 29:11.
