About Us

A Warm Welcome

Church at Wieuca is a warm and welcoming traditional church. We have served our community from the corner of Peachtree and Wieuca since 1956. For more than 65 years, our worship services have provided Christian hope and inspiration to generations of North Atlantans. We are proud of our history, we celebrate our legacy, and we continue to dream boldly for our neighborhood and our city as we follow God into the future.

Whether you are a single adult, a newly married couple, a family with children, an empty-nester, or well into retirement; we offer quality worship for everyone and discipleship opportunities designed to foster Christian community and spiritual growth. Beyond our worship and discipleship opportunities, Wieuca is home to a first-class Day School for infants and preschoolers, an After School program that provides Christian care and instructions to elementary school students, as well as numerous, fun activities throughout the year like Camp Wieuca (summer camp), and community-wide seasonal events.

Mission & Vision

Being faithful stewards, we will be the presence of Christ in Buckhead/Atlanta by developing disciples, fostering community, connecting people to Christ, offering transformative worship, and embracing life-changing missions.

Church At Wieuca

Beliefs

We believe in Soul Freedom – the freedom and responsibility of every person to relate directly to God without control or intervention by clergy or government.
We believe in Bible Freedom – the authority of Scripture. We believe the Bible, under the Lordship of Christ, is central in the life of the individual and the church. We affirm the freedom and right of every Christian to interpret and apply Scripture under the leadership of the Holy Spirit.
We believe in Religious Freedom – freedom of religion, for religion, and from religion. We support the separation of Church and State.

We believe in Church Freedom – the autonomy of every local church. We believe Baptist Churches are free, under the Lordship of Christ, to determine their membership and leadership, to order their worship and work, to ordain whomever they perceive as gifted and called for ministry, and to participate as they deem appropriate in the larger Body of Christ.

We practice Believers’ Baptism – the decision for baptism rests with the individual and cannot be made for another. This decision comes when one is old enough to understand that baptism by immersion in water symbolizes the forgiveness of sins and new life in Christ. It is the mark of Christ, an outward expression of the inward heart.
