WEATHER UPDATE: Due to freezing temperatures, our campus is closed on Wednesday, January 22. This includes the After School and Day School programs.

Bruce Batho was a charter member of Church at Wieuca. For 32 years, he worked quietly and effectively in the life of our church. He demonstrated a mature, Christlike ministry far beyond the call of duty. His lay leadership was an example to us all.

Each year since his death on February 9, 1986, Wieuca has presented an award bearing Bruce’s name to a member who exemplifies these same qualities of church membership.

Key Characteristics of a Strong Award Candidate

  • Exemplifies a mature, Christlike ministry—serving quietly and faithfully behind the scenes.
  • Never seeking recognition, always stepping up to meet a need.
  • Demonstrates a deep and unwavering love for the body of Christ at Wieuca.
  • Inspires others through a faithful witness and a powerful testimony.

The selection committee for this year’s recipient is made up of several members from the Diaconate, along with past award recipients from the last five years

Previous recipients of the award are not eligible: Bob Gibson, Frank Stovall, Lynnette Cannon, Frank Blount, Eddie & Dryna Rains, Bill Givens, Dell Sikes, Judy Burdett, Steve Ray, Gene Hayes, Joe Hughes, and Sally Chastain.

Submit your nomination form by Sunday, July 27.

This is not a formal event. An RSVP is not needed.
