About Our Student Ministry

Church at Wieuca strives to create a healthy community in Christ for all teenagers. Grades 6th-12th are encouraged to join us through Bible studies on Sunday mornings, game nights, worship, and summer camp. Students from all walks of life will find authentic, relevant, and loving relationships as they grow in their Christian faith.

The Student space is in Room S113. This area is located on the bottom floor of the Sanctuary building near the elevator.

Congratulations to one of our graduating seniors, Celia Franklin! We invite you to join us on Sunday, May 4th for our Senior Recognition Service. You’re welcome to bring a card or gift as we celebrate and honor Celia’s accomplishments.

Celia is a standout graduate of Atlanta Classical Academy. She has not only excelled in her academic journey, but has also touched the lives of so many with her kindness, courage, and vibrant spirit.

As one of the eldest daughters of Bryan and Dudley Franklin, Celia has been a shining example of leadership, care, and faith, embodying the values her family holds dear. Her time at ACA has been marked by unwavering dedication, creativity, and resilience, culminating in her receiving the prestigious Courage in Science Award.

Celia’s passion for the arts has been a cornerstone of her identity. From painting and drawing to embracing the world of creative expression, she has always found inspiration in art’s ability to connect and deepen experiences. Recently, Celia defended her thesis, “Beneath the Senses: The Place of Art in Experiencing the World,” a thought-provoking exploration of art’s role in enriching human perception and understanding. Her thesis reflects her incredible ability to combine intellectual depth with creativity—a skill she carries into every endeavor.

Celia also has a flair for cooking, finding joy in the kitchen as she crafts delicious meals and shares her creations with loved ones. Her culinary pursuits reveal another layer of her creativity and her love for bringing people together through the simple yet profound act of sharing food.

Beyond academics and artistic pursuits, Celia has passionately served in Wieuca’s Children’s Ministry, working closely with our preschoolers and children, nurturing a special bond with them—who adore her for her fun-loving nature and warm heart.

Her leadership extends to the student ministry, where she has been a dynamic and active participant. Celia is always involved in programs and community service projects, consistently bringing energy and a fresh perspective. Whether it’s through her thoughtful contributions to biblical discussions or her readiness to serve others, Celia exemplifies dedication and faith-driven action.

Celia is guided by her favorite scripture, Romans 12:6: “Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith.” This verse beautifully reflects her belief in embracing unique talents and using them with faith and purpose—a philosophy she has embodied in both her ministry work and academic pursuits.

Looking ahead, Celia is set to embark on an exciting new chapter at SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design), where she plans to major in sequential art. Her passion for storytelling through visual art promises a bright future filled with imaginative creations and inspiring narratives.

Celia, we celebrate your achievements, your courage, and your heart for others. Congratulations on your graduation and all the best for the adventure ahead!
